Aboriginal Mural Opening
On Thursday the 13th of November we celebrated the unveiling of our new Aboriginal mural, a vibrant addition to our school community! The opening was a memorable morning, attended by families, students, and our executive team, who enjoyed a special morning tea together. Two of our Year 6 students shared the inspiring story behind the mural’s creation and expressed how much they enjoyed it. We were also honoured to hear from one of our Year 4 Aboriginal students, who thoughtfully explained the deep meaning and significance of the mural. A heartfelt thank you was extended to Aunty Gail, our local Aboriginal Elder, for her respectful Acknowledgement of Country, and to Michael Fardon for his incredible talent in creating and painting this beautiful artwork. All the students involved thoroughly enjoyed showcasing the mural to their families. This mural now stands as a proud symbol of connection, culture, and community for us all.

Harmony Day at our school is a special celebration of diversity, inclusion, and respect. It is a time when we come together to appreciate and learn about the different cultures, backgrounds, and traditions that make our school community unique. Through activities, stories, and shared experiences, we promote kindness, understanding, and a sense of belonging for everyone.
